Those books by the bed brought back a smile, especially if you grew up reading "The Hardy Boys" and "Nancy Drew." My room was roomy and comfortable, with a modern bathroom that was spotless and came with wrapped glasses, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The room itself felt updated while still keeping its character. Don, the manager, answered my emails and calls quickly when I let him know I’d arrive late, and stayed late to check me in. I was glad to find the Red Rock Inn, a beautiful historic place built in 1937, with a lobby full of memorabilia from its long life and its guests. Breakfast was included in the room price: muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, toast, jams, and peanut butter. I had a great one-night stay and would gladly recommend the Red Rock Inn.

The hospitality made this feel like staying with old friends, even better than some higher-end places I’ve been to. The views are stunning, and the history, including the famous guests from the past, was a real treat. The rooms and furniture are older, but that’s part of what makes the atmosphere work. Updating them would take away from the vibe. The architecture and bar area gave me exactly the cool, not-at-all-bad Stephen King and The Shining feeling I loved. I’d recommend staying here in a heartbeat. Thanks again for taking such good care of us. I’ll cherish this stay with my friend, whom we recently lost on May 30th. Thanks for the memories ❤️

The rooms are comfortable, and the baths have been modernized. DONNIE has done a lovely job updating this historic Inn while filling it with antiques and mid-century things that take you down memory lane. Some of the decor makes it feel like time has stopped. A real treasure. I enjoyed my stay and our chats.

The marina is right across the street, and our room had a really good view of the lake. Donny was friendly, kind, and funny, and it was clear he puts effort into keeping traditions alive and the community connected. We stayed with our son and were surprised by the hotel's historic setting. It felt like stepping back to this little town's heyday, much more than an ordinary hotel. The rooms were neat and fairly clean, with their original character. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it if you're in the area.

Don will happily show you around the beautiful historic hotel and explain all the unique antiques. It’s a great base for exploring the area, and my room was cosy with a comfy bed. The homemade raspberry loaf in the morning was delicious. Such a lovely little stay.
