Our check-in code for the door didn’t work, and we couldn’t get in. I tried reaching the host through every contact method I could think of, including calling through the security camera, but nobody responded or called back. We could see people inside the building, and it seemed like someone was watching us on the cameras, but still no one came to help. We were stuck outside for about three hours before contacting Booking.com. They also tried to reach the host and got no response, so Booking.com had to find us another place. That whole ordeal took three hours out of our day and left us stranded. I was furious, and I’d regret booking here.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the place is handy if you need to be near the airport. Before we arrived, communication with the host was difficult. But he met us at the check-in time we’d requested, showed us around, and was very accommodating, often checking if we needed anything.

The room was spacious, well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Amy and Stanley, the owners, are a friendly couple, and we’d consider staying here again when we visit Vancouver. I can see why reviews vary so much. Getting clear check-in details before arrival was tricky. Sending those instructions a day or two ahead could prevent some of the misunderstandings. Amy handles most things but has limited English, while Stanley speaks English fluently and isn’t always around. With better pre-arrival information, this would be a truly pleasant place to stay.

A handy spot near the airport. Our room had plenty of space, two nice beds, and a large bathroom. It’d work well for a family with a couple of kids or more.
