Steveston Waterfront Hotel

From the quick, professional email replies to the little collapsible dog bowl and treats waiting for Gary, everything made us feel well looked after. We loved being able to step straight onto the boardwalk with our pup and have the water right there. The room was clean and had everything we needed, plus a bit more. We can't wait to come back!

We had a special anniversary at the Steveston Waterfront Hotel, and it turned out even better than we'd hoped. Arriving late made us worry about check-in, but the entry and access instructions were easy to follow. We were touched to find a handwritten card and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. The suite was clean, modern and cozy, with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of street parking nearby, and food options were within walking distance. It's a quiet, beautiful place, and the staff helped make a lovely memory for us. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return.

The location was the big draw, and it really delivered: lovely views, good restaurants and bars, and a relaxed area with plenty to do. The rooms were nice and well equipped, and all the staff, from housekeeping and maintenance to guest services, were great. Digital check-in and service were super easy. They’ve struck a nice balance between letting guests handle things themselves and having help close by when needed. Everyone responded quickly, including the lovely young woman who pointed out that my digital key wasn’t working because I was at the wrong building. 😀

We had a quiet stay, and the staff replied fairly quickly whenever we needed something. The rooms have plenty of things for cooking and storing food, and in our room the bedroom, living room, and kitchen each had a door opening straight onto the boardwalk. There’s always people walking by, but curtains give you privacy. It’s a lovely place for a stroll. We were in the building closest to the parking garage and had a waterfront view. Parking in the garage costs extra, which seems steep given the room prices and that it’s really the only nearby option. Street parking and other paid lots are available, but they cost quite a bit more and are farther from the room. There was room for all three adults and five kids across the multiple rooms, kitchen, and living room with a pullout couch. Everything was extremely clean, and the bedding smelled brand new and didn’t have a single stain. There’s no front desk, but everything is handled remotely, and following the map made it easy. The rooms get very cold if you don’t leave the heat on. We had to turn it up to 77 to warm up, though closing the doors to the rooms made them hot. If we come back to Richmond, we’ll stay here again.
