The good parts: the room was clean, there was a small balcony with two Adirondack chairs, and the location and view are majestic. Bellevue really does mean a nice view. The less good: a musty, moldy smell, walls that feel like cardboard, and no hair dryer. You also have to wash your own dishes in a dish bin, and then they have the audacity to ask for a tip. I found that funny.

We had belugas in view every morning from this spot on the shore of the St. Lawrence Fleuve. It’s quiet, almost serene, and the ferry adds to the charm. Our chalet had a kitchenette that was modest but enough to prepare food. The motel rooms have an even more stunning view. There’s a fantastic restaurant around the corner and a poissoinerie where you can get fish. Room service was friendly and solid.

The view here was especially incredible, and the rooms and staff were top tier too. This was one of the best places I’ve ever stayed. I honestly couldn’t believe our luck in getting to stay here.

We stayed two nights and got just the mini cottage experience we wanted on the St. Lawrence. We’re cottage people, and this cute, cozy cabin styled like a room suited us perfectly. The river view was great.

The front desk clerk was awesome. They were happy to speak English, recommended a good restaurant, and mentioned there might be a great sunset. The air conditioning wasn’t working very well.
