We had fun at the arcade games area. The hotel also has a pretty decent gym and a nice swimming pool. There are a few restaurants nearby, but beyond those options there isn't much around, just a typical suburban wasteland. The hotel's food was decent, the restaurant was nice, and service was okay. A good stop if you're travelling through.

The water park is decent for kids, but the stay felt bland. The hotel has a college dorm sort of atmosphere, and the popcorn-textured walls in the rooms and hallways made things feel dreary. Lighting in the room was terrible, and better lampshades would help. Service was just okay. We came back at night to find our door open because it hadn't latched, leaving the room accessible to anyone. They didn't apologize or offer to make it right, just said they'd make a note for housekeeping.

The hotel can get chaotic when hockey teams are staying and kids are running around everywhere. It depends on who's there: the nights before the hockey tournament arrived were nice.

We were really surprised at check-in to find we'd been upgraded to a bigger room at no extra charge. It was large and very clean, and my family had a great time at the water park. The reception staff were warm and friendly.
