Monique was so kind, and the breakfasts were wonderful. We loved the house's style and had a great time over our 16 nights. For a longer stay, though, the Wi-Fi felt a bit slow and unreliable, and the private bathroom in our room was very small. It would be fine for a few days, just not for an extended visit. Even with those drawbacks, we left with lovely memories.
A warm, friendly welcome from Monique, who was a super host. The place was nice for an overnight stay, and breakfast was great.

The room was roomy and had an eclectic look, and the house itself seemed okay apart from the dirty carpet by the entrance. Outside, though, the property looked neglected and unwelcoming. The hostel's location is convenient, and it was quiet at night apart from footsteps in heels overhead until 11 pm. The old house has very poor soundproofing, and I slept badly. The bed was too hard, the pillows uncomfortable, and the uncovered duvet felt unhygienic. There was no hand soap in the bathroom, and only one light worked, leaving it dim. The hostess was friendly, though I'd read that some guests found her less pleasant. She also wasn't there to greet me when I arrived, as she was going out for the evening. The door to the room doesn't lock. I skipped breakfast. If you're a demanding guest, this place isn't for you.
That big bedroom on the second floor is lovely, almost like a little apartment, and it can fit five people easily. There's a sea view, too. We only stayed a few days, but really enjoyed it and will definitely return, if only for the lunches and Lady. We would've gladly tucked her into our suitcases when we left.
