Michael was a wonderful host and a very good cook, and breakfast was delicious. The spa area really makes the place, especially soaking in the hot tub and looking up at the stars. There are so many art pieces around the grounds that it feels like an outdoor gallery. Probably the nicest B&B I've visited. I'd happily stay again, thanks, Michael. :)

A luxurious, lovely getaway in Salt spring Island. With so few rooms, the service feels personal as well as world class. Our room was comfortable, and the grounds offer amazing views. Strongly recommend it if you're in the area.

We had a fantastic honeymoon stay in September. The room was gorgeous, the staff were all amazing, and breakfast was delicious. That sunset soak in the hot tub was hard to top.

The people at Stonehouse B&B made the stay feel like being welcomed into a favorite aunt and uncle's home. Sherry, the property manager, greeted my husband and me warmly and shared plenty of Salt Springs knowledge. We ended up talking well beyond the property tour. Milly and Jelina cooked delicious gourmet breakfasts with herbs and vegetables from the garden. You could choose from a menu, which was a fun touch, and they were both lovely to talk with and full of ideas about things to do. Kathleen, the evening and weekend manager, was a delight too and made herself available day or night, even though we didn't need anything. For our anniversary, Milly suggested The House Piccolo. The food was excellent, and Mary, our server, was sweet and easy to chat with. Book a day or two ahead, reservations are needed. The property itself is a stunner. The photos on the website accurately show what you find on arrival: panoramic views across the grounds and the water at Ganges Harbour and Long Harbour of Salt Springs. You can also see Prevost Island in the distance and the BC Ferries traveling from Tsawwassen to Pender. The owner, whom we had the pleasure of meeting, designed and built the place. The architecture and artwork are beautiful, and he has a real visionary's eye and a kind, down-to-earth nature. We ended our relaxed, lazy days in the hot tub, looking over the water and at the stars with a glass of wine from a local vineyard. The BC ferry system was clean and fairly quick for getting to Salt Springs Island, and the trip was well worth it. Whether you're on your own, with a partner, or with friends or family, it's a wonderful place to stay for a few days or a week. We plan to return and have already told many of our friends in the USA about it. Thanks for a memorable visit, until next time.
