Melody Lodge

The cabin had room to spare, with comfortable space for more than the six of us. There’s a good boat ramp and plenty of dock room, too. It’s a lovely spot to take in the lake and outdoors, and I’d come back. Update: Melody has new owners, and they seem to care about making visits pleasant and are putting real effort into improvements.

The kids especially loved leaping into the water from the deck, and we spent the week fishing, kayaking, swimming, and enjoying the lake. We stayed in Maple Cottage during the first week of August. It’s a peaceful place with lovely views and a great fit for family time. The rooms were clean and well arranged, and the owner was kind and ready to help with anything we asked. We’re sure to return.

The fishing was fantastic this visit, and I set new personal weight records for both bass and pike. The lake views and surroundings are beautiful, with a really relaxing feel. We’ve been visiting Melody Lodge for years and have always had a good time. James was kind, helpful, and accommodating, and the new owners and staff seem to carry that on. Updates inside the cabins and a few outdoor changes made things even better. The new water trampoline was a hit with our kids, who are actually young adults now. We’re already looking forward to coming back over the Civic long weekend.

Our first visit to Melody Lodge, and we’re planning to return. Richard, Shaun and Mr.H were all lovely, and my nieces had a great time at their first cottage stay. We also met some other first timers who enjoyed it just as much. The lake was beautiful, the fishing was good, and the loons, water snakes, and endless stars at night made it memorable. We took the boats out on two days, and my 10 year old niece caught her first bass. We released it. The giant floating trampoline and water mat were favorites, and boat rentals were affordable. They even lent us a marine map. I’d recommend staying here, and only wish we could have stayed longer.
