Gîte au Petit Louis

Micheline and Yvon made us feel welcome and shared so much about the region’s history, current events and everyday life. Hearing all that over a pancake felt like a rare privilege as tourists discovering a new place. We’ll remember those conversations as fondly as the region itself. Their attentive, helpful and knowledgeable hosting made this a cozy bed and breakfast, and they truly know how to make a Quebecois breakfast. The meal alone makes Petit Louis worth a stop. You’d miss part of a stay in Mauricie if you skipped this place.

Staying with Micheline and Yvon felt like being at our grandparents’ place, and we felt right at home. We could talk with them for hours, and their advice on seeing the region and finding restaurants was excellent.
