The banquet rooms were small and smelled bad, with crusted food left on the tables and counters. In our room, the sheets and towels weren’t clean, there was mold, and housekeeping was a joke. Key cards never worked, the elevators were out of order, and someone even got stuck in one. The restaurant wasn’t regularly open either. I stayed with my daughters’ sports group and strongly urge any sports groups considering this hotel to take it off their Edmonton list. I’ve travelled regularly for work, and this is one of the worst, most disgusting hotels I’ve stayed in. I waited to write this because I’m still deeply conflicted. The safety and health issues and the lack of care from ownership make it seem like a quick money grab. I’d be shocked if the place meets code, and I hope it gets inspected regularly. Avoid it and spare yourself the grief and horror. Book somewhere else.

The first night, someone at reception gave another person a key to my room, and they came in while I was asleep. I’ll be asking for compensation. My room also wasn’t clean when I arrived, and the hotel felt like it was in the middle of nowhere. Breakfast was mediocre at best, with very little to choose from. The bacon wasn’t cooked through. Three other guests and I asked for it to be cooked longer, but were told it was good enough.

In the photos it looks good, but I don’t know how this place is open. Half the floors, the elevators, pools, and stairs were out of service. The room’s AC was outdated and noisy, and everything seemed covered in a film of dust, like it hadn’t been touched. The bed was comfortable once I removed the dusty sheets. I guess for the price, I can’t complain?

I came back after five years and the AC still doesn’t work. After a really busy day, I couldn’t even get a good night’s sleep. The furniture, bedding, and carpet were worn and dirty, and the blankets had stains. The bathroom was outdated, with rusty rails and a rusty towel hanger. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
