The south room felt welcoming and comfortable, with an immaculate, updated ensuite bathroom. The house was charming, and the property was set back and well maintained. Joyce and Roger were wonderful hosts, available from booking through checkout. They were interesting and well informed, while always respecting our privacy and being there if we needed anything or wanted to chat. Breakfast was homemade, delicious, and plentiful. I’d gladly book another stay. Thank you, Joyce and Roger, for your hospitality.

Roger and Joyce were amazing hosts, and the breakfast had a fantastic selection and great flavours. The house and grounds were beautiful, and the location worked well. The Southroom was just right, nicely decorated, and had a gorgeous modern ensuite. We’ll definitely stay here next time we head to Port Dover. Highly recommend!

We rented the whole house for the weekend of our daughter’s wedding nearby. Roger and Joyce were amazing hosts and let us use the property for photos and for the bridal party to get ready. The breakfasts were great, and everything was clean and comfortable. We hope to be back!

Culverdene House made a great base for visiting Port Dover, Long Point, Turkey Point, and the surrounding area. We stayed longer, so having several breakfast options kept it from getting monotonous. Breakfast was plentiful and homemade with delicious locally sourced ingredients. The South Room was tastefully decorated, fully renovated, and very well appointed. We highly recommend staying here.

We were only there for one night for a wedding, so didn’t get to spend much time around the property. The gardens and grounds looked like a lovely place to relax and listen to the birds. The old house is beautiful and very well kept. Roger, the owner, was super friendly and accommodating, and his pancakes were delicious. I’d definitely recommend this place.
