Days Inn by Wyndham Sioux Lookout

The lobby is roomy, with comfortable furniture, and there are computer terminals guests can use. Our room had a bar fridge, microwave, Keurig, hair dryer, a newly renovated washroom, strong water pressure, and a big TV with some cable and sports channels. It was clean and spacious, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast is continental, nothing fancy, but it does the job. We came because of the hospital, though I could see staying here for contract work in town too. I'd stay again.

We got a woodlot view from our room, and at night there was a great chorus of frogs. The setting is nice, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast room was good. The rooms are large and clean. It's not a high end hotel, but good value for the money.

Our company had guaranteed three rooms with a credit card because we expected to arrive late for an important field tour with clients. When we got to the Days Inn in Sioux Lookout at 10pm, the hotel had cancelled them without calling us, so we had nowhere to stay. The front desk person wasn't helpful and offered only two rooms, which would have meant our clients sharing. They were high ranking individuals who weren't accustomed to that, and were in Sioux Lookout for what could have been a huge contract for our company. We contacted the manager afterward, but were offered nothing for the inconvenience. This was our first stay at the Days Inn in Sioux Lookout and will be our last. I DO NOT recommend it for business reservations. They don't seem to understand how important good business relations with customers are.

We were tired and hungry when we arrived late, and all the restaurants were closed. The shuttle driver, who drove us from the airport and checked us in, made us soup and took us to the supermarket the next day for groceries. At checkout, we learned that our shuttle driver and chef was actually the hotel manager, wearing many hats. We had no idea! The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. Thanks for making our stay wonderful.
