Fundy Spray Campground

After 47 years of visiting Fundy Spray with my family, I was deeply disappointed by what happened under the new owners. My adult children were registered guests staying at my trailer, but during a recent visit they were approached and accused of sneaking into the campground. The confrontation escalated unnecessarily, and they were spoken to in an inappropriate way. Afterward, my children wrote a review about their experience. The owner denied entering the trailer and asked them to take the reviews down, suggesting they wouldn't be welcome at the campground otherwise. What used to feel like a family friendly place no longer feels that way under the current management. I'd hoped to keep this tradition going with my grandchildren, but I don't feel our family is welcome there now.

The staff were kind and helpful, and gave us lots of useful tips about the local area that helped us enjoy our Nova Scotia trip even more. We stayed in one of the campground's cute cottage houses, and it was just right for four people. Such a beautiful, peaceful spot, with lovely little details that made the stay feel special. We had a fun and relaxing time, and I'd highly recommend Fundy Spray Campground for families, friends, or couples.

The owner wrongly claimed we'd been staying there throughout the year, even though we'd arrived only the day before. That added more confusion and tension to an already upsetting situation. We won't be returning after the disrespectful, unprofessional way this was handled, and hope guests are spoken to more respectfully in the future. During our stay with family, one of the owners knocked on our camper door. As my brother-in-law started opening it, the owner abruptly pulled it open and came inside without being invited. He immediately raised his voice about a supposed miscommunication. We tried to explain our side respectfully, but he kept yelling and demanded the gate button or clicker and that we go to the office. I was breastfeeding my newborn at the time, and my sister-in-law made that clear several times. Even so, the owner kept yelling in my direction and showed no regard for our boundaries or the circumstances. This could have been handled much more respectfully and professionally.

It's a stunning campground, and the owners were accommodating. They shared tips on places to check out nearby. We had a little peek at the domes, and they looked cozy and quite nicely decorated, so I'd definitely be interested in booking one next time.
