The evening sharing board was delicious and more than enough for the two of us. We had the Coastal one. Dave encouraged guests to mingle, and that night many of us ended up chatting like old friends. We were warmly welcomed, and the place felt comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was good. It's a short walk to the shoreline, and a 2km walk along the rail trail takes you to the lighthouse. Dave also gave us good advice for the next part of our road trip. I'd stay here again.

This inn was the highlight of our whole Nova Scotia trip. The hosts, David and Katherine, made the stay special, and David went out of his way with great local suggestions, good conversation, lots of laughs, and incredible food. He also made our 6-year-old daughter feel genuinely special. Our room was spacious, immaculate, charming, and exceptionally comfortable, with thoughtful details throughout. The main floor common areas were breathtaking, with elegant furnishings and a beautiful wood bar. The dining room felt bright and welcoming, and breakfast was generous, delicious, and clearly prepared with care. It was a stunning historic inn, and five stars don't seem like enough. If you get the chance to stay, take it. It was an experience we'll remember.

We were in room 7 for one night. In the morning, we saw a bug crawling across the sheet. My husband picked it up with a tissue. At first we thought it might be a tick, but after taking photos and looking it up online, we were sure it was a bedbug. Luckily, we were leaving that day, so we gathered our things right away and checked out. I discreetly told the owner and left the dead bug on a tissue in the bathroom for him to see. He kept asking if it had been there before we went to bed, wasn't apologetic, and tried to deny what we were telling him. Very disappointing!

We stayed in room #8 for two nights. The owner was friendly, and the streaming services in the room were a plus. But you can hear everything happening around the Inn from your room. The beds, especially the bedding and towels, should have been replaced a long time ago. The bath mat was yellowed, and the tub wasn't very appealing. Breakfast was okay, but hard rock music coming from somewhere at 8:00am wasn't pleasant or suited to the setting. Some people call this B&B charming. I think it needs updating. Maybe I'd have given it more stars if we'd stayed in another room.

We celebrated a birthday here, and the staff helped arrange a cute cake at short notice. They went above and beyond to keep it a surprise, and the cake was delicious. Thanks for all the effort, it made for a very cute place to celebrate a stay.
