Northern Edge Algonquin

The food surprised me most. I’d stopped believing healthy meals could be interesting, but here they were, and I left feeling nourished in body, mind and spirit. At Northern Edge Algonquin, stepping away from distractions and daily to-do lists helped quiet my “should” voice. I could hear my own intuition again, which I often ignore while trying to keep up with all the roles I’ve taken on. It gave me room to unwind with intention.

The people I met and the facilitators were part of what made this feel like pure magic. The staff, meals, accommodations and land were just as exceptional. I’ve never had an experience that felt this nourishing, and Northern Edge is a truly special place. If you’re considering a retreat, don’t overthink it, just book. I’m already looking forward to coming back for years.

The winter experience at Northern Edge was something I’m grateful I got to have. Lucy, Wendy, Chef Greg and his wonderful team made it so special, and the food, land and people were all phenomenal. They’ve thought of what you need for a retreat and made the place feel holistic and healing. You can arrive, be cared for, and relax in whatever way you need. It really is magical.

The trails through the woods had little magical surprises, and the glistening lake was wonderfully calming. The property itself felt peaceful. I spent four days there and felt transported out of everyday life. The staff were lovely, and the food was outstanding, fresh and all local.
