The forest behind the Evans Room looked especially magical with its fall colors, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how cozy and beautiful the setting was. We held our 54-guest wedding at The Glenerin Inn & Spa this past Sunday, and everything went perfectly. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient, flipping the room between ceremony and reception seamlessly and serving meals right on time so we could relax. The food was fantastic, with plenty of menu choices, all prepared and presented beautifully. It's easy to get to, has free on-site parking, and the wedding packages are reasonable for this level of quality. I'd get married there every weekend if I could. Thanks to the whole Glenerin team for making the day smooth, memorable, and joyful.

We went to Easter Brunch and arrived right at 11am, so we got to the food tables several times before the bigger crowd showed up. The selection was excellent, and the food was very good. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. They do have a menu at one end of the buffet, but I'd add a small label beside each item too.

I tried to arrange my bridal shower there, which would have meant spending over $4k, but they wouldn't even include a bowl of punch or another drink as a goodwill gesture for such a large booking. It's a shame to lose a sale over one bowl of punch. I'd hosted my sister-in-law's bridal shower there 11 years ago, so this was disappointing relationship management.

RE: Randy My sister got married at the Glenerin Inn this weekend, and I helped coordinate the day and set up the flowers. The wedding itself was beautiful: the venue is stunning, the food was excellent, and most of the staff were kind, accommodating, and professional. I rarely write reviews, but brides and families should know how much the day-of coordinator, Randy, affected our experience. We're a low-maintenance family and tried to work respectfully with everyone. We made no demands or complaints and kept adapting to help things run smoothly. The only frustration we raised was Randy's attitude. He seemed upset about nearly everything, repeatedly found fault and complained openly. We tried to calm things down and cooperate, but the tension came from his behavior. He was rude, abrasive, condescending, dismissive, and controlling, and spoke to us as if we were a problem rather than a family trying to help the event go well. He was also patronizing and disrespectful to his own staff and our vendors. My husband had been named MC months earlier and had prepared extensively, but Randy suddenly said absolutely not and declared that the DJ would be MC instead. There was no discussion, explanation, or willingness to work with us. He was also rude and dismissive to our incredibly sweet, professional DJ, who had done nothing wrong and was just trying to do his job. We arrived early to set up flowers, which understandably left debris. I asked a janitor for a broom so I could clean before leaving. He kindly said it was no problem and that he'd handle it. Still, Randy later berated my aunt about the mess and followed us around with a broom while we finished setting up. It seemed meant to make us uncomfortable and prove a point instead of resolving anything constructively. At dinner, I finally sat down after my speech and managed two bites of my entrée. Randy asked if everything was good. I politely said yes and thanked him, and he replied sarcastically, “Well, it doesn’t look like you like it.” It was uncalled for and completely inappropriate. The woman working with Randy, whose name I regret I don't remember, was an absolute angel: kind, attentive, calm, and incredibly helpful. She deserves recognition and a raise. Everyone else was wonderful and went above and beyond. We still had a great time, but despite Randy's coordination, which cast a shadow over an otherwise joyful celebration. I'm shocked someone with that demeanor is trusted with one of the most important days in people's lives. His behavior was unacceptable, and I strongly suggest hotel management talk to him seriously about professionalism, communication, and basic courtesy. He was, quite frankly, an absolute nightmare.

We had high hopes for this pretty, acclaimed hotel and spa, but our short stay for our 40th birthdays left us disappointed with the service. The room was lovely, and we stayed one night with my girlfriends. A wedding was happening when we arrived, and the staff seemed understaffed and focused on that. We'd made a "reservation" at the "restaurant," basically a closet with four tables. Nobody greeted us or showed us where to sit. As we tried to reach the outside tables, we opened a door to a function room, and the server just watched without warning us. It opened onto an event in progress, which was awkward. On the patio, wedding guests had taken the chairs, and the only table had a pole sticking out with no umbrella. When the server said, "that's a table," he was snippy and rude. We went back inside, saw the prices, and decided to drive elsewhere for dinner. For those prices, the service should have been incredible. It wasn't. After dinner, we wanted to relax in the robes, but there were only two for four guests sharing two double beds. Nobody answered at the front desk at first, and there was nobody there. When a woman finally answered, she was rude and short-tempered again, saying, "Ugh. I'll have to look." It made us feel like a bother. We won't be back.
