The parking was awful, and the floors were filthy. Cleaning was barely adequate. The beds and blankets were worn out, and the tiny pillows looked at least ten years old. Our rooms were given away, then we got two rooms without TVs, and one had no fridge. The walls were paper thin too. Nothing to see here, folks. Keep driving unless you want a lousy night's sleep. The D7s are standing by!!

Taylor was a great employee and did a lot for us, thanks for everything. The room was super clean when I arrived, but over the following days I had to ask Taylor for towels, garbage pickup, sweeping, and mopping. I don't think the owner or the rest of the staff knows how to run a hotel.

The price was excellent, and staying here saved me a daily drive back into Regina. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though the room was small. The low price and convenience made that easier to accept. I could hear every footstep from the room above because there wasn't enough soundproofing between floors. The main reason I can only give three stars was what happened at 4 a.m. A box of some kind set into the ceiling began chirping loudly at regular intervals, like a smoke detector with a low battery. I went to report it, but although the front office's "OPEN" sign was on, the door was locked and no one was there. The bell and knocking got no response, and all the numbers I could find for Sangha Inn went to voicemail. I couldn't reach anyone about an unknown device malfunctioning in my room. It was impossible to sleep with the noise, and I wondered if it might be a warning device. Luckily, it stopped after about 20 minutes, and my daughter and I fell asleep again. I also found the lack of overnight front desk coverage highly unusual. I've never stayed at a hotel without someone at reception 24 hours a day. When I tried to explain the problem at checkout in the morning, I was told, "No English". There was a language barrier with the staff, which is unacceptable. In rural Saskatchewan, hotel staff need to be able to understand at least some English.

The interior has been updated recently and it's nice and clean, but some things are still lacking. My room's door seal was broken, so mosquitoes and other bugs got in. The standalone A/C didn't have the right venting and window connections, which meant leaving the window open all night. The table and chair were a bit beaten up too. It'll do for a short stay if you have to, but there are better options.

The girl at the desk was very nice, though. Outside, the property was junky with garbage all over, and the stay was a nightmare. The air conditioning failed in two rooms. They moved us, but the air was still a problem and it quit in the middle of the night. Water ended up all over the floor, our stuff stayed at 77 degrees, and then they blamed us, saying we'd set it wrong. The girl at the desk had set it. Take the extra time to drive into Southey and stay in watrous or Regina. Very poor.
