Best Western Hotel St. Jerome

Barbara at the front desk and Isabelle in the lounge bar were both so courteous and helpful. They made us feel right at home, and we’ll definitely recommend this place to friends and family visiting the St Jerome area.

It’s easy to visit Montreal without a car: you can take a direct train from St Jerome and skip the traffic. The airport drive took us about 40 minutes in moderate traffic. We wanted somewhere near both the city and airport before our flight home, and BW St. Jerome worked out really well. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the included breakfast was very good. The staff were welcoming and professional throughout. There are several good restaurants nearby, and St Jerome itself is an easy walk and a cute town. For the price, this is a very good alternative to staying in the city.

We were there for a full week, and both the room and breakfast were great. The problem came with the loyalty points. They wouldn’t honor the rewards policy because, they said, the company card used for payment had to be in the same name as the Best Western loyalty account. They offered us a discount voucher for their restaurant instead.

The noise from neighboring rooms was awful. I could hear conversations, bathroom use, doors, footsteps, and things hitting the floor. One morning, my neighbor got up at 5:30 AM and woke me right away. Their kid was apparently practicing hockey in a room without carpet, with constant banging and clattering, then running and yelling in the hallway like it was a playground. It carried on all morning. The room itself had old-feeling fixtures. The toilet sounded like water was running all night, and the AC was loud every time it switched on. For the price, I wouldn’t stay again. This is the worst soundproofing I’ve experienced, and it makes me wonder if it’s really a Best Western.
