Motel AMR

I called last Monday to cancel next month’s reservation. The front desk woman said it was done and that I’d get an email confirmation, but nothing ever came. I waited, then called again this Monday. She was unhelpful and quite rude, though she eventually confirmed that it would have been cancelled if I’d called. Then she promptly hung up. That’s no way to encourage repeat business. She could use some hospitality retraining.

I tried staying here to save money, but the savings weren’t worth it for me. The room was okay, but the neighbors were loud and there was no soundproofing. I didn’t feel safe.

It’s good value as long as you know the bathroom is shared. The place was welcoming and accommodating, and everything was clean. The bathroom was great, and having access to a decent kitchen was handy. I’m not sure I’d call it a hotel in the traditional sense. I’d suggest taking the cleaning supplies and tub out of the kitchen. The cleaner was also emptying mop water there while we were eating breakfast, so cleaning should start a bit later. More separation from longer-term residents might help too.

The style is kind of nice, but everything else was bad. The VIP room smelled awful, like living next to an india city. The fridge smelled horrible, the toilet was smaller than a wardrobe, and the shower was completely in the open.
