Comfort Inn and Suites St Jerome

The front of house staff were great, especially the overnight manager. They’re the reason I stayed past the first night. Breakfast was decent and free, but the beds were horrible, and the WiFi could barely load YouTube. The halls smelled rancid, and the water smelled like it came from an old pond. The smell was BAD. I paid more than I would have at the brand new Best Western across the street, stayed three days, then had to leave for the rest of my time in St Jerome. The owner wasn’t helpful. She needs to invest in WiFi, upgraded thermostats, and cleaning the place.

We had a superb stay for the Petit Train Du Nord Marathon, with great rooms and service. The one letdown was the food court coffee. Whatever was in that carafe didn’t qualify as coffee, and with race weekend prices, I expected a decent cup. Everything else about the weekend was awesome.

Keep a close eye on your bill. My husband stayed here for business for a week, and we’ve just discovered a charge for a “missing pillow.” He always brings his own pillow on longer trips because hotel pillows are too soft. We didn’t take one. When we asked about the charge, the staff member was extremely rude and replied, “yup looks that way.” Hotel pillows are awful, so why would anyone other than staff steal one? I strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

After a long ride from Montreal, the two pools and sauna made for a very comfortable night. The place isn’t charming, though Saint-Jerome doesn’t seem to have charming hotels or B&Bs, like Auberge du Monde in Nominingue.
