Breakfast was a real treat and left us feeling welcomed and ready for the day. There were fresh fruit cups and a freshly prepared hot meal, served with hot rolls and toast. Everything was delicious. We'd recommend At Wit's Inn and hope to return for the welcome from James and his family. Thank you. My husband and I stayed there in mid June, at the end of our two-week Newfoundland trip. The house was stately, beautiful and extremely well kept. Our room was lovely, the bedroom clean, and the washroom immaculate. They also provided bathrobes, and the bedding and linens looked freshly washed.

The breakfast was the highlight for us. James made sure we had everything we needed, including perfectly cooked hard-boiled eggs, homemade cookies fresh from the oven, homemade granola, apricot jam, cereal, toast, coffee, orange and grapefruit juice, and cheeses. Our host communicated well before our stay, greeted us on arrival, gave us a parking permit and showed us the common areas. Then he took us to our beautiful room, which had everything we needed, and gave us his cell number in case anything came up. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept great. At Wits Inn is in a perfect spot, surrounded by cafés and shops and a short walk from downtown and the convention centre. If you're in St John’s and want a change from hotels, I highly recommend it. We won't stay anywhere else on our next trips to St John’s. A few words beyond “perfect” describe our stay. Walking into the beautifully restored Queen Anne home felt like being swept back in time, and it felt warm and cozy right away.

James, the caretaker and owner, gave us advice on what to see in the city. Staying here means more than just having a place to sleep: there's a great breakfast to start the day, plus a stunning room and view. The house is beautiful and in an amazing location. I can't recommend it enough!

Breakfast is fresh and delicious, and the beautiful home is well kept. It's within walking distance of shops, hiking trails and historic sites. My favourite place to stay in St. John's. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable and so helpful. I seriously recommend it.

The host, James, is so great, and the breakfast was delicious. At Wit's Inn is close to everything in St John's. The room is incredible, and the claw-foot bathtub is superb. I have only great things to say about this place!
