Comfort Inn Airport

The free breakfast at Clancy’s is a nice extra. The hot food is delicious and the coffee is great. I also like having several entrances to choose from once you have a key card, so you can use the one nearest your room. One part of the hotel has more stairs and is less accessible, while the other side has an elevator to the second floor. Staff let people know about the stairs at check in, and would have helped anyone who had trouble with them. I've stayed here many times since the new year, and they've never disappointed me. The rooms have all been comfortable and well kept, and most have a walkout balcony for fresh air or morning coffee. It's clearly a family owned hotel from the way staff treat guests and each other. They're friendly, accommodating, and make a point of asking how your stay is going. They introduce themselves and offer help as you pass in the halls. After a few visits, several staff members recognize me and make an effort to get to know me, which makes me feel at home and keen to return. Prices are great. I believe I paid $134 a night for a king suite with a jetted tub, one of the nicest rooms I've tried there. The hotel feels caring in those small ways, and I would absolutely stay again. Thanks to the Comfort Hotel and its wonderful staff!

We were there for a wedding, and the meal was top notch. The rooms were good, though ours had a bit of a musty smell, maybe because it had been vacant for a while. The open bar felt like highway robbery: $4 for three quarters of a can of 7up and $20 for a double whiskey. Some people might consider that fair, but to me it felt like taking advantage of guests.

I was nervous about staying at a hotel for the first time in maybe 12 years, because even upscale places have been unclean. But this one was so clean and comfortable, and amazingly pet friendly. I'd stay again without a doubt.

We had booked the night before an early flight, after arriving in St Johns ahead of picking up our rental car the next day. The wake up call and shuttle to the airport worked great. Then our plane "died" on the runway, leaving us stuck until a later flight that night. Comfort Inn had no room available for us to rent, but they picked us up at the airport again and stored our luggage. After a great breakfast, we spent the day in St Johns, then they took us back to the airport for our late flight. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable, and the staff friendly with great service. The manager, Janice?, was especially accommodating through the whole day of delay. Their shuttle service was a real help. We'll definitely be back!
