Our group of twelve had a very enjoyable night in the hotel's new section. At breakfast at Zimmy's the next morning, our waiter was friendly and attentive, and brought coffee and water right away. The food was good once it arrived, but the service from the kitchen was a mess. Two of us waited an hour, and many orders came out wrong, sometimes more than once. One friend had to ask five times before getting the right meal. Some eggs were badly burned, meats and toast were mixed up, and one person was told eggs weren't included despite the breakfast description saying they were. The kitchen only agreed to add them as an exception. By the time the last two plates came, some people had finished eating and others were halfway through. Our waiter stayed calm, kind, and apologetic, so I don't blame him. I hope the kitchen team sees this and improves, and that management considers adding more staff with better training.

The artwork on the walls gave the hotel a great look for our photoshoot, with a really nice vibe. We also ate breakfast and lunch at Exile Restaurant inside the hotel, and both the food and welcoming staff were lovely. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and the stay felt amazing. One of the best hotels in St. John’s.

We’ve stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, and the JAG hotel in St. John’s Newfoundland is easily our favourite. The lobby looks stunning, the rooms are great, and the bed is so comfortable. We love the music and decor, and the staff are exceptional. The bar/lounge is a lovely place for a few drinks, and Exile is second to none for both food and service. Highly recommend 💯

Mojo Lounge is a big reason The Jag is my favourite place to stay in Newfoundland. The atmosphere and drinks are superb, and the staff are always attentive. On my last few visits, Amira served us. She was fantastic, with great service and a smile that made everyone's night. She's reason enough for me to come back for drinks any night of the week. I've stayed here many times since the new Blues Tower opened, probably close to 50 nights or more. Looking forward to another visit.

It's a bit of a maze inside, but there's something interesting to admire around every turn. Everything was clean and well looked after, and it felt luxurious for what we paid. If you skip valet parking, finding a spot may be the main hassle.
