St. Paul Lodge

The staff were great, and compared with a few other places I’ve been lately, I was pretty happy here. My non-smoking room smelled decent when I walked in. It had nice new flooring and a new shower, though the bathroom fan was a bit janky and parking was tight. There was a low spot in the bed, but most motel beds have that. I left some clothes behind, unfortunately, but that’s on me.

The friendly staff and owner, David, made a great impression. He even shoveled the snow off and around my car. I usually stay at the bigger, fancier hotels, but the price and service here make me think I’ll come back. The renovated rooms were spacious, with opposite-side windows for a nice cross-breeze. The welcome breakfast box had yogurt and boiled eggs in the fridge. I loved the rain-head shower and the high-end toiletries. I even tried the conditioner, which I usually don’t do because I bring my own, and it worked well on my long hair without tangles. The Wolfgang Puck coffee was excellent, including the decaf. The mattresses were adequate, and I appreciated the comforters. The only things I’d change are the bathroom ceiling fan, which didn’t work, and a couple of outlets on the same wall. No big deal.

My husband, our small dog, and I travelled here in June 2022. The room was spotless, the beds were really comfortable, and the staff were courteous. It’s definitely one of the cleanest hotels we’ve stayed in. Keep up the great work and the good treatment of your guests.

While working out of town, we stayed here with the staff. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. David and Dave always made sure our rooms were clean when we got back from work. Thank you both!
