Quality Suites

The location was quite good, with restaurants and attractions nearby, and the rooms were fairly nice and a good size. Still, the lack of maintenance was obvious. There was chipped paint and marks on the walls, and the fridge wouldn't shut all the way, so freezer ice melted and leaked onto the floor. Our food wasn't kept cold. To their credit, staff came and fixed the fridge. On the first night, the bedroom heat was stuck at 23.5 degrees, while the air conditioning ran all night trying to counter it. We didn't realize the heat was on until the next day and could only stop it by switching off the room's heat breaker. Breakfast was hopelessly disorganized and short on both supplies and staff. Around 8:00-8:30 there were no eggs, coffee mugs, or many other items. The front desk girls came to help restock some things, which helped. We were also disappointed by the room assignment: it had been listed with a water view and patio, but we got bushes and a few patio stones outside the door, with no chairs. We paid extra for a patio instead of a balcony and ended up with a worse room because there was no view. The girl at the desk refused to do anything about it.

The staff were friendly and very accommodating with my dogs. The whole building smelled and looked clean, and the river views were great for the price.

The location is nice, with balconies and a view of the river. Our room was clean and nice, but we had to switch because of a water leak. The breakfast buffet was a bit disappointing, with microwaved sausage patties and egg.

The rooms are nice and recently renovated, and it's right on the St.Lawrence. Good value.
