The hosts were great, and we had a lovely stay in the master room, which had a small patio outside. We were here at the end of August for our anniversary and the steam train excursion. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

6/10
We enjoyed the lovely garden and deck, and the breakfast, though modest, was good. We were told it would be served precisely at 8:30. Booking directly saved us money and also saved us the GST on our Stettler train tickets. We had three rooms booked while traveling with family and friends. My husband and I were on the main floor in a room with a Murphy bed, and getting to our bathroom meant walking through the sitting room, dining room, and kitchen. Arriving to find a garage sale on the front lawn wasn’t a great first impression, but overall the stay was pleasant.

We stayed in the Green Room, and even with the window open it was fairly quiet. Dave and Barbara Lynn have beautifully rebuilt the older-style house, and the garden is lovely. It was easy to get to both Hwy 56 and 12. Breakfast was delicious, and we’d stay here again.

10/10
There’s a fascinating story behind this historic home, and the hosts were wonderful. Breakfast was tasty too. The Green Room has its own attached bathroom, though some rooms don’t. To help manage the fees, book directly and pay by debit.

The owners were friendly, the rooms had beautiful historic character, and breakfast was excellent. I’d absolutely recommend it, 10/10!
