Super 8 Stettler

The rooms are older, but they're tidied every day and everything works fine. I've stayed here a few times during hunting season, and it's good for that. For a motel, it's good. The continental breakfast is what you'd expect, with muffins, toast, cereal, and so on, and I like it.

The beds were super comfy, just the firm kind I like, and the service was friendly. Breakfast had a good selection. The place is clean but old, and the bathroom really needs to be gutted and redone. You could feel the hollow floor under the broken tile.

The coffee machine in my room quit working, but they replaced it right away. The rooms were clean, breakfast was fresh, and the staff were super friendly. I had a great stay and will definitely come back.

Several families from our hockey team arrived to find there were no rooms for them, even though we had booked a block. Some families with just two people did get rooms here. Our group had three people, and they couldn't provide us with a room with two beds, so we had to find somewhere else in Stettler for the tournament weekend when almost everything was booked. We were lucky to get a room at the ramada, but it cost over double. I would never book at this super 8 again. They couldn't get several team members' advance reservations right. The woman at the front desk was very nice, but seemed to have no idea what was happening, which probably explains the problems with so many pre-booked reservations.
