Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Summerside

The hotel’s attached right to the rink, which made it a great fit for the hockey tournament we attended. That setup is pretty unique. Paula, the kind woman working the night shift at the front desk, was happy to chat and make us laugh. She trusted our team to behave, and we did.

We had a lovely stay with our three-year-old. The hotel feels modern, and our clean room was a good size with a great view of the Gulf. It’s easy to walk around the city from here, with plenty of restaurants and the waterfront boardwalk nearby. The breakfast was fresh and had lots of choices, and the staff were friendly and easy to approach. Parking could be tight when sports events were on, since the lot is shared with the community centre.

The rooms were very clean and good quality, though not ultra premium, and the price felt fair for what you get. Breakfast was included, with a broad selection that changed a bit each morning. There’s also a bar in the lobby with a decent range of options, and the gym in the attached community fitness centre is exceptional. I was here for five business nights, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. They helped with directions, restaurant suggestions, and printing some business materials. I’d definitely stay again and recommend it to others. Thanks for a great stay.

Breakfast is a real highlight here, with lots to choose from. We had a spacious room with two queen beds, plenty of storage, a small desk, a fridge, and a microwave. The TV worked perfectly, outlets were placed conveniently, and both the air conditioning and heat responded just as they should. We’ve stayed here twice now, and the front desk has been great each time. Special thanks to Prince for being so warm and for pointing us to Dino’s for a late-night bite. It was spot on. Clean, comfortable, and we’ll be back again.
