The place was spotless and clearly set up carefully for the pandemic, with plenty of sanitizer and clear instructions. We only stayed one night after booking at the last minute on a long drive, and Patricia made our late arrival easy with excellent directions and a very friendly welcome. Our room was small, but clean, and the bed was really comfortable for the two of us. I wish we’d arrived sooner to enjoy more of the Auberge. It sits in a lovely spot between Sutton and the ski hill. The bar and restaurant were closed because of the pandemic, though the whole area seemed well arranged for socializing. We had coffee beside the clean, relaxing pool before heading out.

The food was top notch, the kind you’d expect from a chef. Patricia and the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating, too. The rooms aren’t big, but they’re comfortable, and the whole place has a nice rustic feel. The Wi-Fi worked really well. I’d come back, whether for a romantic weekend or just a cool getaway.

The new bathroom was a real plus, though we could hear some noise from the restaurant and kitchen below in the early evening. Our king room was spacious enough but plain, which suited us since we spent little time in it on our ski trip. The restaurant food was great and priced accordingly. The optional breakfast was wonderful as well.

The appetizers were very good, and the service was too. The mains were a letdown for the price, though, so I can only give the restaurant three stars. The fish in the fish and chips was good, but the portion was small and came with vegetable chips and not much else. We told the waiter we’d expected fries, and he brought a side of very good fries. The trout dish was messy, with so much beet and other stuff that the fish was completely overpowered.

This family run place is very close to Mont Sutton and has great prices on lodging. Patricia was polite, helpful, and easy to deal with. After a long day driving and skiing, the newly renovated bathrooms were a treat. If you’re coming to Mont Sutton and need a place to stay, you’ve found it.
