Le Montagnard – Auberge/Hôtel & chalets

We spent a week here for skiing and will definitely return to Sutton. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were very friendly. It was great to have our passes included in the stay, and Marie did a great job getting them for the week. We also enjoyed several evenings in the hot tub and sauna. Whenever we needed extras like towels or toilet paper, the staff were happy to help.

The manager really helped turn around a rough arrival. There was a problem with our booking date and no room ready for us, but she was apologetic, very helpful, and went out of her way to sort it out. We only stayed one night for a family ski trip, and the hill is just a few minutes away by car. The room was decent, though a bit cramped for four once the sofa bed was open and all our ski gear and luggage were in there. I had booked a Superior Suite, but I'm not sure that's what we ended up with. The staff are lovely and the location is great.

My reservation was confirmed at one rate, then the hotel raised the price to three times that amount. The manager wouldn't honor the original rate or work with me on a solution. I was told the owner would call, but more than two weeks passed and nobody got in touch. I had to cancel, and my kids and family were devastated that our trip was ruined. This showed a lack of professionalism and accountability, and left me feeling the hotel doesn't value guests or its commitments. I strongly advise others to avoid booking here if they don't want their plans disrupted and their family disappointed. Update to Management's response: The options offered were to pay three times the originally reserved rate or change the dates to suit your convenience and avoid your busy period. That doesn't match the original agreement in the reservation confirmation. I asked you to honor those terms or offer a fair resolution based on the booking, and you did neither. Renters Beware!!

The rooms are cute and have what you need to cook, and the beds are VERY comfortable. We also loved the outdoor hot tub and sauna. Great experience all around, and the TV has a good selection of sports channels.
