Best Western Plus Chateau Inn Sylvan Lake

I was charged full price after checking in around 1 AM, which I understood at the time, but then the extra fees seemed excessive. There was a $30 late checkout fee plus GST and another $8.96 walk-in fee, even though I checked out at noon. The hotel is very dated and didn't feel worth the rates being charged. I contacted management with my concerns before posting, but they seemed brushed off, and the response felt dismissive. There wasn't a meaningful effort to resolve anything. Between the condition, the charges, and the lack of care afterward, this stay wasn't worth the cost. Management should consider renovations or pricing that better matches the property. Better prices and customer service would help keep future guests from feeling this frustrated.

I was here for two weeks, and the staff were incredibly kind. Ashley and Manvir took time out of their day to make sure I had what I needed when I was horribly sick. Nikalea, if I'm spelling that right, was very kind too. The manager always smiled and said good morning, even when I looked like something the cat dragged in. Dining room staff cleared tables quickly. The hotel was very clean. If you're staying in sylvan lake, this is where you wanna be. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Breakfast with fresh coffee and juice in the morning was perfect, and the stay was great considering how busy the place seemed. The rooms and pool were clean, and the staff were friendly. It's close to the lake!! The lack of changing rooms and bathroom stalls by the pool, and in the lobby, was a bit odd. The fridge was set too high, but maintenance came quickly and fixed the temperature. I'd definitely stay again.

For a work event, I booked the entire hotel, and the group got a great experience. They arranged an extra-early check-in and accommodated lots of food restrictions. Staff were wonderful, and the rooms and conference centre were clean and professional. The cafe was great too. I look forward to coming back for work and leisure.
