Motel Cabano-relais

It’s right off the highway, which made this a handy stop on a long drive. The staff at the Econolodge were friendly and welcoming, and our room was clean and simple, with newer-looking laminate floors. Breakfast was a standard continental spread: bagels, croissants, muffins, yogourt, juice, coffee, and cereal. We were impressed, especially for the price.

The drive a little way off the highway was well worth it. The room was economical, clean, and very nice, with an upgraded shower, no carpets, and a quiet heater/air conditioning unit. The staff were exceptionally kind and bilingual. I’ll stop here again and tell my friends.

The industry star rating shouldn’t put you off. This was one of the cleanest and most enjoyable stays of our trip, with immaculate rooms, courteous, friendly staff, and a great price. I’ll definitely stay here again.

The rooms were very clean and pretty cozy, the AC worked like a dream, and the service was really friendly. It’s pet friendly, which is a bonus, but breakfast was just okay, nothing special, and the wifi signal was very blotchy and needs work. My main complaint was the desk attendant’s behavior when he saw my dog. He went from friendly to fowl in a split second, repeatedly told us to get out of the office, and then wouldn’t let us back inside with our dog. For a motel that’s supposed to be pet friendly, that was really disappointing. Because of it, we most likely won’t stay again. If you don’t have a pet, I do recommend it for the price. You’re getting what you pay for.
