Cambridge Suites Toronto

We needed a hotel in a hurry, and they made it a really nice experience. We paid for an early room and got one. They also held our bags for us, which was great: when we came back to check in, we didn't have to carry them around again. There's a big underground garage with lots of parking space.

The staff made a difficult night feel calm and reassuring. We were in Toronto during a major snowstorm, staying the night before surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital, and everyone was warm, kind, and clearly thoughtful about what guests in a medical situation might need. The room was quiet enough that we couldn't hear other guests, which helped a lot before an early morning, and it was spotless and very spacious. We were also allowed to check in early and were given a complimentary upgrade to a high-floor executive suite. The location is hard to beat. St. Michael’s Hospital is a two-minute walk away, the Eaton Centre is about four minutes away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We walked easily to Milestones. This stay turned a potentially stressful evening into a peaceful one. I'd gladly return and recommend Cambridge Suites Toronto, especially to anyone who needs to be near the hospital.

My friends stayed for a week and had nothing but praise for the hotel. I first looked at downtown options for some professional friends visiting from abroad, then went to Cambridge Suites. Tony and Brandon at the front desk were courteous and helpful, and showed me a huge one-bedroom suite. It had an executive desk, a comfortable sofa and chair, coffee facilities in the main area, plus a great separate bedroom and bathroom. For what it offered, it was a real bargain. Thanks to Cambridge Suites, Tony, and Brandon. We'll be back.

For the price, cleanliness, and central location, I'd still recommend it. It's downtown, close to Yonge St and seemingly every major transit line, and the room was tidy and clean when I arrived for a last-minute work trip. Even on Friday night, the street noise wasn't too bad, and the hotel itself was quiet. A few small things could have been better. The front desk person seemed in no mood for customer service, and being handed two warm complimentary water bottles from a ripped case on the floor looked pretty bad. The fridge smelled as if there had recently been rotting food in it, and the shower didn't drain properly. The room also stayed much too hot despite repeated attempts to lower the temperature and turn on the fan, so I switched the heat off and cracked the window while I slept.
