Holiday Inn Express Toronto - Downtown by IHG

Irma, our housekeeper, was cheerful and wonderful. We had a lovely chat while she was preparing our room, which made the visit feel personal. We also got a warm welcome when we arrived, and the breakfast buffet was fresh and tasty. Honestly, it was better than any Holiday Inn we’ve stayed at, and the staff member looking after the breakfast area was especially friendly. We were there for one night with a friend. The location is convenient for reaching many downtown Toronto attractions. There are vending machines and a good range of food options on the ground floor too, though we didn’t buy anything.

The free breakfast and the fact that nobody harassed me on my way to the elevator were the best parts. The staff were friendly, the room had a nice view, and the hotel is beside a pleasant park with pretty good transit nearby. I wish I’d chosen this place during AISES 2026 instead of the other Holiday Inn. There’s the whole idea of inspiring people back home by working your way out of poverty and into a tech job, sure. But it also matters to get a seat at the table and choose hotels where I’m treated like a human being. I don’t need a “thanks for being a [insert metal here] member” greeting. Just give me breakfast and let me be 😆

It’s a little quieter than being right downtown, but still easy to reach by tram, metro, or on foot. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and breakfast was great too. The front desk staff were welcoming and friendly and made our stay. Thanks as well to the cleaning staff, who kept the rooms immaculate. It was a nice surprise to find fresh towels and a made bed the next morning. Thanks, Holiday Inn!

Usair at the desk was friendly and gave great service. The location is handy, about a 10 min walk to Eaton centre and all kinds of restaurants, so we’ll definitely stay again. The rooms are basic, but clean and big. We could hear some road noise from being in the city. It didn’t bother us, though it would be noticeable if you’re sensitive to it. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and I appreciated having both a mini fridge and microwave.
