My stay was great! The people in the room next to mine were really loud in bed.

My latest stay was a pleasant surprise. The first-floor room had clearly been renovated recently and looked beautiful for the price, and the customer service was good again. I'd read reviews from that month that made me expect things to be worse than before, but that wasn't my experience. Two summers earlier, my room had been pretty run-down and needed renovation. Even then, the service was good and I never felt unsafe. The reviews may not be great, but I'd definitely stay here again.

I was in town for a business meeting in October 2014 and spent two days here. The neighborhood is quiet, with a few interesting restaurants nearby. Staff were pleasant and helpful, and my plain room was clean and comfortable. It was generally quiet, even though my window looked west toward the streetcar yard. Downtown is a long way off, about an hour on foot or 30 minutes by streetcar. Still, it's a good, cheaper choice if you want somewhere out of the way. It worked for my short business trip, and I'd visit again.

I didn't rent a room because the door said “centre for harm reduction.” I guessed that people there might be supervised while using drugs so they don't overdose, but that's only what I assumed from the sign.
