The room was very clean and modern, as it was in one of the newly renovated sections. The staff were pleasant, and Akshat was especially helpful at check-in, inviting us to reach out if we needed anything. The lobby and shared areas were clean and welcoming, and the price seemed reasonable. The location is great, with restaurants and entertainment an easy walk away. We used the underground parking for $40 with in-and-out privileges. Convenient, though I miss when parking came with the stay. Our corner room was actually quite small, smaller than an average hotel room, so I wouldn't pay extra for that upgrade. The bathroom was compact too, with a tiny sink and little counter space for toiletries. We were surprised that a newly renovated room had a bathtub instead of a stand-up shower.

The bar is a calm, inviting space, and the staff there and at breakfast were attentive, polite, and quick. There wasn't a breakfast buffet during my stay. Chef Ilancheri checked on me at each meal to see that everything was prepared properly. His careful attention to my allergies built my trust and kept me coming back. Downtown is a great location for this hotel. It's not connected to “the path”, but there's a connection point about a block away. Rooms are clean, and reception is extremely friendly and helpful. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting the city for work or leisure.

Last Spring I looked into booking a sizable corporate group through the sales office. I work in Toronto's hotel industry and understand how hotel sales operate, and the red flags were obvious from the outset. My dealings with Mr. Benn and his assistant Rose left me with the impression that the team lacked structure, accountability, and strategic foresight. Their approach seemed reactive and loosely organized, leaning on pressure tactics instead of selling value. That's not a sound way to build lasting corporate relationships. For a property carrying the Hyatt name, I expected brand standards and basic professionalism. Instead, the sales culture felt fragmented and dated, much like the property itself. Corporate event planning is a small, connected industry, and experienced planners can quickly judge whether a sales office can deliver at scale. Based on what I saw, I took my business elsewhere and strongly advise others who know this side of the industry to think carefully before engaging.

Alan at the front desk gave us a warm, friendly welcome. We had everything we needed for our one-night stay, including a coffee machine and fridge in the room. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location. I'll definitely come back.

The hotel was very nice, right in the middle of everything, and free parking was a great bonus. Rob Laciak at the front desk deserves a shoutout: his dinner suggestion for the best steak in town made our trip! It's not often someone takes the time to walk you through a bunch of options like he did, and we really appreciated it. We'll definitely stay here when we come back to Toronto!
