This was a terrible stay, and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. For the price, the place was extremely dirty. The common areas, including the hallways, stairs, and walkways, were filthy, with stains all over the carpet and chairs. There was a strange smell in both the halls and the room, and the shower had practically no water pressure. The room was a dump and below standard. I wouldn’t consider it suitable for a couple, let alone a family with kids. Most of the staff weren’t very courteous or helpful. They need customer service training and should learn to be more hospitable and accommodating.

The staff were really friendly, and I’d come back. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and it was a decent price for two nights. We also had a nice jacuzzi tub. The AC didn’t work very well, so the room could have been cooler, and the patio door was a bit hard to open.

I normally take care with hotel reviews, but this place was disgusting. The room smelled of weed and smoke even though it was supposed to be non-smoking. The old carpet was covered in stains, there seemed to be mold all over, and I found a condom on the floor. It didn’t feel like anyone cleans here. The whole hotel is old, broken, and damaged. The bathroom was really run down, as were the drawers, couch, beds, TV, lamp, and basically everything else. You can get a much better hotel room for the same price. In reality, this is a one-star hotel. I’ll add pictures soon. Good luck with your stay in Toronto.

For $120 a night, I don’t think the place was worth it. I’ve found nicer stays for less, and this seemed more like a $60-$80 place. It wasn’t the worst I’ve seen, but I probably won’t come back. The rooms are a little outdated. There’s a pool and vending machines, which are a plus, though I’ve never used the pool. When I asked the tall, slim, brown worker for a fridge for a special dietary need, he didn’t try to help. Right after I asked, he went on lunch break and left me at the desk for about 15 minutes until someone else showed up. The older guy did his best to help. This was several months ago, so hopefully the tall, slim guy doesn’t work there anymore. The blonde lady who works during the day is very nice and helpful.

I love this hotel and will definitely return. It’s clean, the rooms are big, smoking is allowed, there’s a pool, continental breakfast is included, and the price is decent. It’s dated, but has a nice vintage feel, and of course it isn’t a five-star hotel. One thing to keep in mind if you book: it’s the only hotel around with smoking rooms, so there will be some smoke smells. I’d suggest keeping the smoking rooms together on one side rather than mixing them in with the non-smoking rooms, so non-smokers don’t end up complaining about the smell. Believe me, smokers won’t mind it. Shout out to the staff, especially the cleaning ladies, who were kind and did a great job.
