The Anndore House, part of JdV by Hyatt

I stayed here with my daughters and would definitely come back. The hotel is stunning, and the staff were amazing from the valet arrival right through departure. Breakfast was just okay. Dinner was delicious, although I had only a few options because we went down 40 minutes before service ended. Our pizza and burgers were still great. I only wish the rooms were a little more spacious, but they were sufficient for our trip.

The location is central, and I got a great night's sleep in a stylish, spacious room. For some reason I was given a double bed room. I also appreciated the GoodLife gym passes. Having a gym on site doesn't motivate me enough, so that worked well. Looking forward to my next stay.

I like the hotel's modern furnishings and hip vibe, and the location is fairly central. I didn't realize there was no gym on site. They give you passes to a nearby health club, which is nice, but inconvenient. As someone who exercises early, I don't want to walk alone through an unfamiliar city in the dark or pay for an Uber. There's no ice machine on each floor either, so you have to order ice from room service. That was usually fine, but once it wasn't delivered. It'd be much easier to get it myself, and I wouldn't have to bother staff.

Penelope at reception was excellent. Breakfast was good too, though I thought the staff could use more training to improve the service. The room was laid out well, but its furniture felt quite basic. It was a decent hotel in a great location, but I found it noisy at night, perhaps because I was on the third floor facing the side street.
