The host was very accommodating when we checked in late. If you're arriving after 7 pm, call ahead like we did, and they'll give you what you need for self check-in. We had a room with two double beds, a dresser, and an en suite bathroom. The shower stall was a little small, but that's understandable in a historic home. Kelly's Landing faces the waterfront and has a cozy Victorian interior, with a few room sizes to choose from. Breakfast is served at the Eriksen Premises in a different building, about a three-minute walk away. The menu changes by day, and service there was quick and efficient. Great location for a Trinity stay.

The shared room was a nice place to meet other travelers in the evening, with a fridge, coffee, and tea available. A full hot breakfast is served in the main building, a short walk away, with the usual choices and extras like partridge berry preserves for oatmeal. Eriksen has accommodations in several buildings around Trinity. We stayed in the very small Room #4 at Kelly's Landing, just as clearly described on their website. Its double bed, not a queen, nearly fills the bedroom, leaving only enough room to walk around. The mattress and box spring on an antique frame made it quite high. There was also a small nightstand and half-size wardrobe. The bathroom only had a shower, and the space was tight but functional.

We stopped at the gift store on our way out. The employee, who was the store manager responsible for ordering, was so friendly and went out of her way to answer our questions about the store, the building and its fascinating history, and historic Trinity. The food and service were excellent, too. The fish and chips were really tasty, and the salmon dinner was delicious!
