Travelodge by Wyndham Trois-Rivieres

A real nightmare. After several hours on the road, we got there around 11 pm with a child and two babies, then waited at the entrance for at least 15 minutes before anyone showed up. The person had nothing to indicate they worked there, like a uniform or name tag. We'd paid for the “improved” room, but it was dirty. Both beds had dirty sheets and pillows, the fridge was leaking, and some light fixtures were broken. The state of the room and even the smell honestly horrified me. It took everything I had not to leave right then. Very dissatisfied. DO NOT go here.

Room 101 had bed bugs. I was told it was renovated, though I'm not sure what they renovated. The whole complex needs maintenance: the entrance steps are cracked, bricks are missing, doors and mouldings are coming away, and the melamine at the sink vanity base is disintegrating. And yes, the BED BUGS. The hotel says the bugs weren't from their bedding. My photo was zoomed in, so of course you can see the fabric weave. The sheet doesn't look pure white because the light beside the bed is warm white. I've added another photo from farther away where you can see the edge of the bedside table. Maybe next they'll say I didn't stay there. Judge for yourself, but I strongly encourage you to avoid this hotel. When I checked in on Friday evening, another guest was at the counter complaining to the receptionist about their room's cleanliness and bugs. I didn't take it seriously then, but after my stay I'm not surprised. Enjoy your stay.

The room was clean and the washroom was good, but there was no hot water. We had to bathe in freezing cold water, and the reception wasn't helpful at all. Breakfast was amazing, though, and for what we paid, it was definitely worth it.

What a dump. It was dirty, with lots of broken or unfinished things, and the staff were unpleasant. The website said there was a crib, but they didn't have one. Don't stay here.
