Willow Bend Motel

Breakfast was nice with plenty of choices, and the dining room was one of the nicest we experienced on our trip. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated, with a little kitchenette that had dishes, a kettle, mini fridge, and microwave. Such a lovely motel. I'd definitely return.

The owners and staff were so kind and accommodating. We stayed one night on our recent vacation, and the rooms were spacious, with the most comfortable beds of our whole trip. Definitely recommend it, and we'd love to come back.

When I got in, the room was freezing, with the thermostat set to 10°. It took an hour to warm up. The floor hadn't been cleaned very well either, my socks stuck to it in about four spots. I was put in a room next to the only other people there, who seemed like some sort of drug addicts. I'm not sure if it was a smoking room, but it had definitely been smoked in recently and smelled awful. I had to buy a can of air freshener. It made me want to sleep on top of the bed covers.

The apartment itself was modern and quite nice, with a good kitchen and comfortable beds. It seemed recently renovated. But for over $550 for two nights, I was disappointed. We only booked because our usual hotel was full, and we'd never stayed here before. It wasn't clean: the carpeted stairs were very dirty, there was food from previous guests under the couch, and the dishwasher was full of dishes. The living room curtain facing the traffic was missing, the kitchen needed more utensils and glassware, and neither the fireplace nor heat pump worked. Outside our door, staff were using the area to collect garbage from other rooms, and there was garbage everywhere. The staff were friendly, and breakfast was a nice, simple continental. It's frustrating because this could be a really great place if it were properly cleaned and maintained. For what we paid, it wasn't worth it. Hopefully management reads this and makes changes.
