We'd definitely recommend the Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni, and hope it becomes our new anniversary tradition. We booked it as a last-minute romantic getaway after our 33rd anniversary trip to Puetro Vallarta was cancelled. We couldn't get the romantic package, but Kate Martin? at the front desk and the manager took great care of us. They offered us a higher-grade room and welcomed us with Prosecco and local chocolates. It was lovely to see the Shangri La attention to detail and service still there. We also had a great time relaxing in the rooftop hot tub and heated pool among the lit skyscrapers. We'll try the spa next time. One note for management: please don't assume every couple is “Mr and Mrs.” 😉 And be sure to distinguish this Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni from the other Hyatts in Vancouver.

We stayed in a spacious, comfortable suite, and the balcony was a lovely place to unwind. The staff were so friendly and attentive that everything felt easy from beginning to end. Breakfast at Carlino’s was another highlight, absolutely delightful. The hotel sits right in Vancouver’s luxury shopping district, which made getting around to explore the city convenient. We had a memorable stay at the Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni and are already looking forward to coming back.

My room was reset and cleaned meticulously every day, and the grout in the shower and tub was impressively clean, even compared with some of the best hotels I've stayed at around the world. I loved having double balconies, and now I want a bathroom door like that at home. The staff were wonderful and the service was lovely. I could text questions or requests and get a reply fairly quickly, which I was a big fan of. I'd definitely stay again.

Aashna's hospitality and professionalism really made our visit memorable. We were impressed by the convenient location, the facilities, and the service, and the staff left us with a very positive impression overall. We'd gladly return and hope for another relaxing stay. One incident in the steam room was disappointing. A resident repeatedly swung and kicked their legs directly in front of us, splashing water on us, then responded aggressively when we politely said, “Excuse me.” We told the staff member on the floor, who was kind, understanding, and helpful. Everyone from the hotel who handled it was professional and respectful. We hope the issue with the resident is addressed so guests can feel safe and comfortable using the amenities.

The location made it easy to get around Vancouver and visit nearby attractions, and the staff were always friendly, professional, and ready to help. My stay at Hyatt Hotel Vancouver was wonderful. The hotel was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the service and experience surpassed what I expected. I'd gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Vancouver.
