Hotel Grand Pacific

We had a good birthday stay, and the location was really convenient. The staff were welcoming, and our room was clean, though a little dated. We enjoyed the large pool, but its water made us feel a bit itchy. The sauna was good. The jacuzzi, unfortunately, wasn’t working properly, and the water felt cold instead of warm.

Staying on the inner harbour made my heart sing, and this will be my accommodation of choice from now on, even though I’ve stayed at other lovely hotels there. The renovated-side rooms are spacious, beautiful, and clean, and the team was well trained and helped make the stay comfortable. The menus felt thoughtful and carefully put together, and the fresh food was hot and delicious. My one gripe is the in-room coffee. I couldn’t drink it, and good coffee matters a lot to me when I’m away from home. Nespresso would be a traveller’s delight.

We liked the location and would stay here again. The hotel managed to give us the connecting rooms we requested, and most of the staff were really friendly and quick to help when we needed something. I also enjoyed the gingerbread display and competition while we were there. The pool closing a little later would have been nice, but it was okay. I wasn’t much of a fan of the restaurant or the connected cafe, though there are plenty of other restaurants nearby.

Fathom was a highlight, with great food, a lovely atmosphere, and a view. The Grand Pacific Hotel is right by the Inner Harbour, so we could easily walk everywhere. We spent three nights there and had a wonderful stay. The room was comfortable, the bed was great, and the view was stunning. We’d definitely return.
