The main lounge is good, but the building feels like a decaying remnant of a bygone era. The shower temperature control was broken, there was enough humidity that I had to open the window, and the walls were so thin I could hear every word from my neighbor. The bed frame was rickety, and the main entrance was surprisingly hard for an elderly person to access. You’d be much better off at one of the several excellent neighboring hotels.

Great location, not too far from everything. The bed, sheets, and pillow were exceptional, and the rainfall shower was amazing, with plenty of heat and great pressure. For the price, the lighting and some of the finishing could have been better.

I'm a member, but I don't enjoy being there. There are mice running around even during the day, and the server could be more professional. They’re unfriendly to kids and don’t allow them inside the restaurant, so we have to sit at the back. Jeans aren’t allowed under the dress code, but visitors wear short pants and open-toed sandals.

We attended a social gala dinner at the Union Club of British Columbia in Victoria, and the evening was memorable from beginning to end. We didn’t stay overnight. The historic interiors are beautifully maintained, and the event spaces feel grand but still inviting, with a timeless, refined atmosphere. Dinner was outstanding: beautifully plated, perfectly cooked, and thoughtfully paired for the occasion. Each course arrived promptly and at the right temperature. The catering team was professional and personable, attentive without hovering, and always smiling. Their warmth and efficiency made the evening flow smoothly. The Union Club of Victoria offers a first-class dining experience in understated luxury. We look forward to returning for future events.

What a terrible hotel. I waited at least half an hour for front desk service, and they were clearly understaffed. Then I found out the hotel doesn’t even provide toothpaste. They actually told me to buy some at a nearby convenience store. Speechless.
