Victoria Marriott Inner Harbour

The happy hour drinks were good, but the food deals weren’t much of a deal. The restaurant off the lobby looked modern and comfortable. We enjoyed our family weekend, especially the friendly and accommodating front desk staff. The spotless lobby was well decorated and always had a smiling staff member nearby. The MClub had the usual Marriott offerings, with plenty of pastries and a couple of hot breakfast items. There were lots of tasty evening snacks to choose from, and lounge service was prompt and friendly. Being so central in Victoria meant we could walk everywhere, with everything feeling just outside the lobby. I’d recommend the hotel and stay again.

The location is superb, and after work I like to unwind in the hot tub, which is usually quiet and peaceful. The bathrobes in the rooms are a nice touch. I’m here for work at least twice a month, and as a Titanium Elite my status is consistently recognized with generous upgrades. Rooms are spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Housekeeping responds within minutes to requests, even for water, and the staff are friendly and accommodating. The M Club lounge works really well for me. There’s a solid breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, then a dessert hour with cheese, charcuterie, and sweets. Coffee and soft drinks are available around the clock. Some other Marriotts have chips or pretzels too, but I don’t find their absence a problem here. Reliable, professional service every time. This is my go-to hotel in Victoria. :)

The beds were comfortable, the room had been updated, and the M Club Lounge served good food. The lounge staff were excellent, especially Sadie, who made our stay more enjoyable. Front desk and check-in staff were professional and courteous. Housekeeping was a letdown. We pointed out some problems in the room when we arrived, and the staff member we spoke with was sympathetic and said they’d handle them while we were out that evening. Only half the work had been done by the time we got back, and we were too tired to follow up. The next day we found another housekeeping issue, so we were disappointed with the cleanliness overall. The bathroom fixtures also felt quite dated, and the water pressure was really low.

The M lounge was a great perk, and I’d make a point of staying here again on future trips. I was in town for business and got a great corner room on the 16th floor. The bed was really comfortable, and the view of the Parliament building was great.
