We enjoyed every minute of our two-night stay and loved getting away from the city's hustle and bustle. The location and beach are hard to beat, and the staff were amazing. I booked two suites for 14 people, then reread the reviews two days before and started to feel hesitant, but once we arrived I realized there was nothing to worry about. The kitchens were nice, although the beds and bathrooms could use updating. The place has the raw, unfiltered beauty of a cottage, so go with realistic expectations rather than expecting a five-star hotel. There were bugs and spiders in summer, but the staff did a good job keeping the outdoor areas clean.

This was my second visit to Long Beach, and I was just as happy with it as the first time. The staff helped out with our last-minute getaway for my friends and me, and were there whenever we needed them. We were upgraded to another unit at no extra charge. The location and beautiful sandy beach are amazing. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.

The staff treated me like family, and the other guests were kind and considerate. The resort wasn't overbooked, so there was enough space to enjoy it. The property and beach are beautiful, and the suites were clean, well stocked, and had modern appliances and a filtered water machine. I also loved the espresso and gelato bar. Having someone light the fire or help with the charcoal barbecue was a really thoughtful touch. It's well worth the price and feels like being in the Caribbean. If you're after an upscale stay with polite, like-minded guests, this place could suit you. It wouldn't be a fit if you want to party all night or make a mess.

The patio, fire pit, and beach view were lovely, and the beach itself was clean and spacious. But the cold, windy weather made those outdoor areas less useful, and the state of the room really let us down. For $800 in American dollars for three bedrooms the weekend after Labor Day, with no AC, I expected much more. The rooms and staircase were filthy, with flies, bugs, spiders, and webs everywhere. We spent about 20 minutes killing flies as soon as we arrived, and the place still felt dirty. The toilet seat in the only bathroom was broken and hanging off, which made me worry the bathroom hadn't been cleaned since the previous guest. To be fair, someone came right away to fix it. The furniture was uncomfortable and dated, including a brick-like couch and a nicked coffee table, though the kitchen was nice and recently renovated. There wasn't a single closet in the three-bedroom suite, so four adults had nowhere to hang suits, dresses, or coats, and it was freezing. We needed the room to get ready for a wedding, but the only bathroom was so small I couldn't stand near its one outlet and bend my elbows to curl my hair. I wouldn't recommend it, and it wasn't worth the price. I'd have been upset even at $200 a night total, let alone four times that. We crossed the border, and those prices were in US dollars. The resort was full of wedding guests that weekend. I didn't have any of the negative experiences with the owners that other reviewers described.

The kids had so much fun in the playground and swimming in the clear, lovely water. The beach sand was soft and clean, and the fire pit made for cozy family evenings. The owner was welcoming and attentive to all the details, and made us feel at home. Our family stay at Long Beach Resort was unforgettable. The rooms and beds were clean, and the resort was very hygienic. A peaceful, nature-filled getaway for families, and we're already looking forward to returning.
