Wainfleet Motel & Restaurant

The place isn't fancy, but the food was exceptional. A friend suggested we try it, so we went last night. We ordered the steak, cooked exactly how we asked, and homemade berry cheesecake for dessert. Delicious!

The beef short rib was the highlight for me: full of flavor, very tender, and a generous serving. The menu has lots of choices and a good selection of daily specials, so there's often something new to try. I've found everything I've had so far consistently good, and the prices are reasonable for the quality. The staff are welcoming, too, which makes it easy to return. The setting is pretty unsuspecting in Niagara, but the food feels a little fancier than the surroundings, and I love that contrast. It's a real hidden gem.

The food was fantastic, but service was disappointing. The waitress didn't clear our plates, even after we ordered dessert, and we had to ask before the dirty dishes were taken away. She said they were quite busy at the moment. I'd give it another try and hope the service is much better next time.

We chose it because the room was reasonably priced and only a 30-minute drive from Niagara Falls, and it didn't disappoint. The location is quiet, the room is clean and well maintained, and parking is right outside. It's also close to a restaurant with amazing food. We ordered pasta and grilled chicken.
