Beachfront At Beach1 Motel

It's an easy walk anywhere, and the beach is literally two minutes away. The rooms were clean and bright, and everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We couldn't stay in the room. It was dirty, cramped, and poorly kept, nothing like the online photos. The sheets were stained, there was no soap or washroom mirror, and a cockroach terrified my kids. The whole place felt unhygienic and unacceptable for a family. I asked the manager for a refund so we could find somewhere cleaner for the kids. He was dismissive and insisted I take a photo of the roach before he would do anything. It had run off, and my children wouldn't go back inside. We lost $250 and had to book another hotel at the last minute, Living Stone Resort in Blue Mountain. It was clean and professional, and a much better experience. I don't recommend this place and won't book here again.

The location is really good, just a few minutes from the beach. We stayed in suite 5, which had two rooms. One had AC; the other had no AC and only a window that wouldn't open. There were just sheets, no blankets, and the shower tap took a while to figure out for hot and cold. The laminated floors can get slippery when wet, which could be difficult with little kids since the bathroom floor gets wet too. The BBQs were mixed, some had gas and some didn't, picnic tables are shared, and parking is limited. There's hardly a table to use and only a small fridge. It seems fine for adults or families with older kids, but a bit tough with toddlers.

Good location, about a five-minute walk from the beach. The bedroom was okay, but the bed was terrible. There wasn't a table or chair, water kept leaking from the shower in the bathroom, and the toilet seat wasn't properly fixed.
