Hollywood Cottages

The beach is literally across the street, and the location is perfect. It's quiet and really family friendly. My husband and I spent a week at Hollywood Cottages, and it was the best experience we've had in Wasaga. Our River View room was spectacular, super cute, and had everything we needed, with an IKEA vibe we loved. It was extremely clean, and the patio view was amazing. When we arrived, the owners showed us around, explained where everything was, and recommended things to do and places to eat. Huge thanks to them for making the vacation memorable. We honestly didn't want to leave and can't wait to return!

The owner clearly takes pride in keeping the place clean and up to date. Our room was spotless, the bed was really comfortable, and the kitchen had all the basics stocked, from plates and pans to mugs and utensils. The bathroom was updated too. We were just a two-minute walk from the beach, with everything else on main beach easy to reach on foot. We stayed three nights this weekend and were blown away. We loved it and will be back. A really cute, quiet place, and super clean. The staff were lovely, and the beach is barely a two-minute walk away. There are barbecues outside for guests to use, and the water pressure was great for washing all the sand off after a beach day. The one drawback was the AC, which didn't work very well, so I'm not sure it'd be comfortable on a really hot day. The curtains also let in a lot of light, and with the outdoor lights on all night, the room never got properly dark. That could be a problem if you need a very dark room to sleep.

We had a big balcony overlooking the river and Nancy Island, which was a lovely place to sit with coffee in the morning or a drink later on. The beach is just across the street, with beach 1 and 'the strip' in one direction and quieter beach 2 in the other. Shops and restaurants are a short drive away. Inside, everything felt bright and clean, and it was clear the owner keeps making updates. The beds were firm but comfortable, with crisp sheets and a plush duvet. The kitchenette was practically a full, well-equipped little kitchen, so cooking every meal would have been easy. We also used the BBQs and tools to make corn and hamburgers one night. The staff were friendly and helpful without hovering. When I asked for an extra duvet because my husband steals the blankets, one was brought straight to our room, fresh from the laundry. My husband and I had a great two-night stay at Hollywood Cottages, and we're already planning to return.
