Hwy 17 Hotel

For about $100 in November 2025, this was one of the better-value motels I've stayed at while travelling Canada's main highway route. It met my expectations for a three-star hotel, and I'd happily stay again or recommend it to friends travelling for work or long distances. It was reasonably priced, clean, and easy to get back on the road in the morning without going into town. Fuel was nearby. My spacious room was clean and comfortable, with clean, comfortable bedding. The bathroom was standard and clean. The towels were brown instead of the usual white, but looked clean. There was a TV, phone, chair, desk, closet, and free WiFi. I checked in late at night without a problem; the welcoming staff were available as needed. There was ample parking, even with my larger vehicle. I didn't use other amenities or stay for breakfast, so I can't comment on those. Restaurants and fast food were nearby. I noticed no safety concerns, and you can see the police station from the motel. It was raining hard when I stayed, making the exit from the highway onto the service road difficult to see. That's just something to watch for if you're driving at night, not an issue with the hotel.
